In 2003, at the age of 19, Kike went through a depression that pushed him to the brink. It wasn't in a classroom or from a pulpit; it was at rock bottom that he first recognized the reality of God.
There is a God, and it's not me.
In 2010, he answered the call to pastoral ministry, trained at Faith Baptist Church, and in 2012 became the first Mexican certified by the ACBC in biblical counseling. Today, he leads Horizonte Querétaro Church, preaches internationally, and is pursuing a doctorate at SEBTS. He is married to Paulina and is the father of Christian.
